Localeyes Optometrists is an Independent Opticians run by Colette Dunsmore.

We operate from Stonehouse, Larkhall offering eye tests, fitting contact lenses and treating red and sore eyes. Colette qualified in Optometry in 1992 and in 2010 passed her Diploma in Therapeutics. She was one of the first 50 optometrists qualified in Therapeutics  in the UK. As a result this allows Colette to be able to prescribe medication for sore and infected eyes. Always keen to keep up her training, in 2018 Colette completed an MSc in Clinical Ophthalmology and Vision research and is now studying towards a PhD.

Colette passed her Nesgat qualification in May 2023 which allows her to manage stable Glaucoma patients who have been disharged from hopsital care.

Colette is also registered with the General Ophthalmic Services Specialist Supplementary Scheme managing severe eye problems.
